Efficient Defrost

As the weather turns cooler and windshields become fogged up or frosty, you’ll want to activate the defrost button.

In most vehicles, when windshield defrost is selected, the A/C compressor is automatically activated. This helps provide air that is more dehumidified (drier) to the windshield, which will de-fog it faster and keep it that way. Some systems don’t work this way, but have a separate switch that will turn the compressor on. If your car is so equipped, don’t forget to switch the A/C on to achieve quicker de-fog.

Please take the time to defrost your windshields front and back before you get on the road. Poor visibility due to an obstructed windshield plus early morning sun glare is dangerous. Don’t drive blind. When having your mobile A/C system professionally serviced, insist on proper repair procedures and quality replacement parts. Insist on recovery and recycling so that refrigerant can be reused and not released into the atmosphere.
